Scion Car Transponder Key Cutting and Programming

Even most of the first Scion’s came with a transponder key that contains a chip inside the plastic cap of the key. This chip must be programmed into the car’s system in order for it to start the car. These keys may seem like a simple metal key, however thanks to the chip inside the plastic cap it provides an extra layer of security against thieves. For example if someone is able to get inside the vehicle and tries to hot wire the car, they will fail because the car will not start without the signal from the chip inside the key. We use precision laser cutters to cut the metal portion of the key and then use advanced programmers to program the key to the cars system.
