There are multiple ways to open the doors to your house and depending on the situation our residential locksmith professional will choose the best way to unlock your door. Most common way a residential locksmith will open your door is by using a pick tool. Pick tools are small metal pieces with different teeth that help push up the pins in the lock. Once the pins are pushed up in right place then another small picking tool is used to turn the lock open. Using lock picking tools requires a special picking tool set which can be obtained at a locksmith store or online. However the skill set to successfully pick open the lock takes a long time to master so we highly suggest that you don’t try to pick your own lock because there is a high chance you will damage the lock or break the tip of the picking tool inside the lock cylinder which will greatly increase the cost.
